Meet the Founder
Ronni Martorello,
Executive Director
Ronni Martorello is the founder of RISE, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building community-based support systems that foster resilience, connection, and long-term well-being. Her work focuses on creating accessible, relationship-centered pathways for individuals navigating adversity.

Her mission is deeply rooted in lived experience. Growing up in poverty and facing significant life challenges, she developed a firsthand understanding of the gaps that exist not only in resources—but in consistent support, encouragement, and community connection.

Rather than allowing those experiences to create barriers, they became the foundation for her work. They shaped a leadership approach grounded in empathy, dignity, and the belief that meaningful change begins with people feeling seen and supported.

Through RISE, she is developing a growing ecosystem of programs—including initiatives like Mellissa’s Garden—that integrate community, education, and wellness to support whole-person healing. Her work emphasizes not just access to services, but the creation of environments where individuals can rebuild confidence, connection, and a sense of possibility.

She believes that transformation is most powerful—and most sustainable—when it is rooted in human connection, and that sometimes, all it takes is one person believing in you to change the trajectory of a life.
"Truley, I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
